World’s best street designs, before and after photos

A great photo archive has been created to showcase urban transformations that make streets more user friendly. The design collective from Brasil called Urb-i has a collection of more than 350 images that show pedestrianized street transformations. The interventions mainly consisted of eliminations or narrowing of car lanes and the introduction of wider sidewalks and cycle lanes.  It is interesting to see the different interventions in different continents proving that policies to eliminate the importance of cars in cities are creating more livable streets that promote life quality.
